I’ve taken the plunge to begin setting up a studio….I’ve got all the basic parts and lighting, just need to set it all up and work on figuring the whole thing out.  It’s definitely NOT anything like shooting wildlife outdoors, that’s for sure!

Eagles!

I was down in Broward County this past weekend and on my way back home I decided to check out the eagles’ nest I’d heard so much about.  Plus it’s right off of Pines Blvd and US27…and I was taking US27 north to head home anyway.  I wish I would have gotten there a tad bit earlier because the light was super harsh.  But, I was able to walk away with a photo of one of the adults feeding the chicks some fresh fish.

If you live in Broward County and would like to know more about these eagles check out THIS BLOG or this FLICKR set here from Ken Schneider or THIS ARTICLE from the Herald.  Some of you may say, “what’s the big deal?”.  Well, for as developed as Broward County is, it’s still amazing to see something like this happen out there….especially since it’s Broward County’s first eagle nest since the 1970’s!  They do have orange cones and orange fence tape set up so that people cannot (be idiots and) pull into the ditch or go wandering through the woods, lol.  But there is ample parking there on the side of the road in case you want to go.  Just observe, take pictures, bring your binoculars and respect these beautiful birds.
