Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas and happy holidays from me to you!

I can’t believe Christmas is right around the  corner.  Today we woke up to 40 degree temps (including one of the dogs halfway on the bed snuggling against me to keep warm)…now for most of the United States, this would be warm weather…but for us south Floridians, this is WINTER.  We wait all year long for this kind of weather.  I love it because the frogs, gnats, mosquitos and spiders go away, every day is a good hair day, and it’s just plain wonderful to be OUTSIDE!

We’ve got almost all of the holiday shopping done, all we need to do now is wrap up presents.  I’ve gotten quite a few images printed out as gifts for friends and family this year.  I used www.WHCC.com and www.colorinc.com and they both did phenomenal jobs!  I highly recommend either company if you need anything printed out.

And, I’ll leave you with a photo, of my Appaloosa mare Spotty taken with my new 50mm 1.4 lens.  I love this lens, it even makes the pesky little bugs into bokeh!

I don’t think I’ll be smelling roses anytime soon….I’m getting another cold…this time I think it’s a doozey.  It’s either come from my husband or my mother, and they’ve both had some miserable colds lately.  It hit me hard this afternoon, just sitting in the office it was like all of a sudden a Mac truck ran me over.  So, I got out the Vitamin C and did a little Zicam to clear the sniffles (echinachea is at home, plan to take that later).  But, if this cold goes as they normally do…by tomorrow morning I’ll have a sore throat and mega-runny nose.  But I’d like to nip it in the bud before the weekend because I’ve got two studio sessions lined up and a flickr wildlife photography meet up on Sunday in Lakeland!

What do you do when you get sick?  What do you take?  Natural, homeopathic, over the counter?  I’d love to hear it.  I know everyone has certain tricks they swear by!
